From the time I was young, animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with cats and dogs, and I owned and rode horses all throughout my childhood and into adulthood. For many years, I owned and operated a barn, taking care of anywhere between five and seven horses at a time. For the past 14 years, I’ve been working at a local feed store specializing in animal care. I assist customers with needs for all kinds of animals—from house pets to farm animals. I offer guidance, assistance in choosing appropriate foods and products, and education on animal needs and well-being. I’ve worked with elderly and special-needs pets, which includes providing insulin, giving medication, and guiding blind and deaf animals. While pet sitting in my neighborhood, I’ve had dozens of animals under my care. I bring my sincere love and appreciation for animals to everything I do.
I have owned and showed Golden Retrievers for over 24 years. My life has always revolved around animals. I have always had a deep love for animals and enjoy caring them. I have cared for all types of animals including dogs, cats, birds, turtles and fish. For the past 7 years I have been caring for up to 8 dogs at one time. This has included giving medication, caring for disabled and senior dogs along with training puppies. My love for animals will be passed on to your beloved pets, giving the same care I would give to my own animals. I think it is very important that pets can remain in their own home where they are more comfortable and secure. Whether they just need to be walked, fed and petted or need special diets or medications, I can provide this type of care. I would bring love and expert care to any animal that I am entrusted to watch.
Our meet and greet visit is a free 30 minute consultation where we will review our forms, receive instructions for feeding, treats, potty schedules and medication administration. We will discuss your emergency vet protocol, receive vet contacts and discuss any other specific needs you may have.
This is also the time for us to get to know your pets and answer any questions that you may have. We prefer to schedule these at least a week in advance, but understand emergencies can make that impossible. We will work to accommodate you in these situations.
Yes, we require 2 keys. This is to make sure we can get to your pet in a timely manner if a sitter gets delayed for any reason. The keys will be collected at the conclusion of our Meet and Greet visit and returned at the end of your booking. If only 1 key is available, a $10 fee will be added to make an additional key.
Deposits for pet sitting are only required on daily stays and overnight stays during Holidays. These Holidays are:
